Documentation to support your medical needs or condition is not required; however, if you feel that it would help ease your screening, it should be presented to the screening officer along with your medically necessary items.

Prescription and essential non-prescription medications

All passengers are allowed to bring prescription and essential non-prescription medication in containers of more than 100 ml.  When packing your medications, keep the following tips in mind:

  • We recommend that you pack all medication in your carry-on baggage.
  • Prescription medicines are exempt from liquid restrictions, but you must present them to the screening officer separately from your carry-on baggage.
  • Ensure that any prescription medicine is properly labelled (with a pharmacy label identifying the medication).
